Product details

A purple Retinol Intense Reactivating Serum dropper bottle on a glossy lavender table between two clear glass spheres

Smooth + refine

A gentle daily retinol serum with retinal and bakuchiol, made for skin that’s new to retinoids.

Some By Mi built this serum around 0.1% retinol, the amount it considers right for daily use by retinol beginners, with a touch of retinal and plant-derived bakuchiol. It targets rough texture, enlarged-looking pores and the marks breakouts leave behind, while niacinamide, panthenol and a soothing centella complex keep even sensitive skin comfortable. The pale yellow, milky serum absorbs quickly.

What’s inside

The ingredients doing the work

  • Retinol + retinal

Two forms of vitamin A that care for skin texture and acne marks. The retinol is kept at 0.1% so it can be used daily, and retinal adds a small 1 ppm boost.

No. 30, 48 of 65 on the list

  • Bakuchiol

A plant-derived antioxidant often paired with retinol, here at 5,000 ppm to keep the formula calm on acne-prone and sensitive skin.

No. 25 of 65 on the list

  • Niacinamide + panthenol

Vitamin B3 high on the list for a more even-looking tone, and pro-vitamin B5 to soften and comfort.

No. 7, 9 of 65 on the list

  • Centella complex

Centella and its active compounds soothe while a ceramide supports the skin barrier, so the retinoids sit more comfortably.

    No. 12, 46, 49, 51 of 65 on the list

Supporting botanicals

  • Kava
  • Ginseng berry
  • Licorice root
  • Fig
  • Tea tree
