Product details

A pump bottle of Madagascar Centella Light Cleansing Oil on a cream table in warm sunlight, beside centella leaves and a pool of golden oil

Melt + rinse clean

A light, water-thin cleansing oil with Madagascar centella that melts makeup and sunscreen, then rinses off with no oily residue.

SKIN1004 blends centella extracted into oil with jojoba, olive and sunflower seed oils. Massaged over a dry face, it dissolves makeup, sunscreen and sebum; add water and it turns into a light, milky emulsion that rinses away, the first step of a double cleanse.

What’s inside

The ingredients doing the work

  • Madagascar centella

SKIN1004’s signature ingredient, extracted in oil here. It soothes irritated skin and helps strengthen the skin barrier while you cleanse.

No. 6 of 14 on the list

  • Jojoba, olive + sunflower oils

Like dissolves like: plant oils loosen makeup, sunscreen and sebum so they lift away without scrubbing, leaving skin soft rather than stripped.

    No. 7, 8, 9 of 14 on the list

  • Light esters

Keep the oil watery and light, so it glides on easily and never feels heavy or sticky.

    No. 1, 2, 4 of 14 on the list

  • Emulsifier

Turns the oil milky the moment it meets water, so it rinses off completely without an oily film.

Good to know

  • For all skin types, per SKIN1004, which describes it as non-comedogenic.
  • Contains bergamot, geranium and rose oils, with the fragrance components limonene and linalool. Bergamot oil can make skin more sensitive to sunlight, so patch test first and wear sunscreen by day.
  • Use with dry hands on a dry face; it only turns milky once water is added.
  • Comes in a 200 mL pump bottle and a 30 mL travel size.
