Product details

A sage-green dropper bottle of Madagascar Centella Azelaic Acid 10 Ampoule on a sage table between centella leaves and frosted glass spheres

Triple azelaic acid

10% azelaic acid with two gentler azelaic derivatives and Madagascar centella, in a watery ampoule for troubled-looking skin.

SKIN1004’s azelaic acid ampoule tackles the cycle of breakouts before, during and after: it helps manage excess sebum and the dead skin cells that clog pores, calms the look of redness, and evens out the marks left behind. The mildly acidic formula is light and watery, absorbing quickly to a soft, matte, non-greasy finish.

What’s inside

The ingredients doing the work

  • Triple azelaic acid complex

Azelaic acid helps care for excess sebum and the dead skin cells that clog pores. Potassium azeloyl diglycinate, a low-irritation derivative, supports moisture balance, and azelamide MEA helps manage sebum and refine skin texture and tone.

    No. 2, 7, 9 of 27 on the list

  • Cyclodextrin encapsulation

Azelaic acid dissolves poorly in water and absorbs slowly, so SKIN1004 encapsulates it in cyclodextrin to keep it stable and help deliver it to the skin.

No. 3 of 27 on the list

  • Soothing trio

Madagascar centella with panthenol and allantoin to calm skin that feels irritated or looks red.

    No. 10, 15, 16 of 27 on the list

  • Lasting hydration

Hyaluronic acid, beta-glucan and a moisture-binding sugar keep skin quenched while the actives work.

    No. 18, 19, 21 of 27 on the list

Supporting botanicals

  • Neem leaf
  • Neem flower
  • Phellinus mushroom
  • Licorice root

How to use

After toner, morning and night

  1. 1

    Prep

    Cleanse and tone first.

  2. 2

    Drop

Dispense about two to three drops, or a thin extra layer on areas of concern.

  3. 3

    Pat

Apply gently along the skin’s texture, then pat lightly to help it absorb.

  4. 4

    Finish

Follow with a soothing moisturizer, and sunscreen as the last step in the morning.

A single round centella leaf and two pale green droplets on a sage-green surface

Clearer, calmer, more even skin

One watery step that works on sebum, redness and post-breakout marks, gentle enough for sensitive skin.

Good to know

  • New to azelaic acid? For the first week, apply a pea-sized amount to areas of concern every other day, then build up gradually, per SKIN1004.
  • Because of the high azelaic acid content, white crystals may form around the opening. SKIN1004 says this is normal.
  • Fragrance-free with no artificial colorants; the green colour and faint scent come from the raw ingredients and the colour may lighten over time.
  • Patch test first if your skin is allergy-prone or sensitive. Use within 12 months of opening.
  • Comes in 30 mL and 9 mL bottles.
