Product details

Prep + tone-up

A lavender tone-up primer from makeup artist Jung Saem Mool that smooths pores, controls shine and helps base makeup last.

Pro-lasting Prep Primer has a moist, lightweight velvet texture that sets to a matte finish. The brand calls it a 3-way system: a blurring gel that covers pores and uneven texture, a sebum-absorbing powder for oily areas, and a bare-lavender tone-up powder that counters yellowness and dullness. Eight forms of hyaluronic acid keep it comfortable rather than drying.

What’s inside

The ingredients doing the work

  • Blur gel

A silky silicone gel that glides into pores and uneven texture so skin looks smoother and foundation goes on evenly.

    No. 2, 3, 5, 8 of 40 on the list

  • Sebum-absorbing powders

Fine powders and kaolin clay that soak up excess oil, for the soft matte finish that keeps shine down.

    No. 9, 15, 19, 31 of 40 on the list

  • Bare-lavender tone-up

White and violet pigments give the primer its lavender colour, which helps correct yellow tones and dullness for a brighter-looking base.

No. 16, 21 of 40 on the list

  • Hyaluronic acid complex

Part of the eight hyaluronic acid forms on the list, there to keep skin feeling moist under a matte finish.

    No. 28, 33, 34, 37, 38 of 40 on the list

  • Plant extracts

Lotus corniculatus flower for the brand’s pore care and lemon myrtle leaf for sebum care.

No. 27, 29 of 40 on the list

Supporting botanicals

How to use

Step two, before your base

  1. 1

    Prep

Finish skincare and sunscreen, and let them sink in.

  2. 2

    Take a little

Squeeze out a small amount. Use less around the nose and on the eyelids, a little more on wider areas.

  3. 3

    Roll it in

Press and roll it over pores and uneven texture, and spread a thin layer over an oily T-zone.

  4. 4

    Follow with base

Apply cushion or foundation, then powder. On the eyelids it also works as a base before eye makeup.

A smooth start for lasting makeup

Pores blurred, shine controlled and tone brightened, so the base you put on top stays put.
