An amber bottle of Supple Preparation Facial Toner on an ivory table between glass spheres and centella leaves

Hydrating prep

Klairs’ best-loved hydrating toner: light, fast-absorbing and gentle enough for every skin type.

Supple Preparation is the toner Klairs is known for. A base of plant extracts, with licorice root and centella high on the list, keeps it calm and non-irritating, while hyaluronic acid and beta-glucan give deep, lasting hydration and help balance skin’s pH. This original version is lightly scented with essential oils; there’s an unscented twin for skin that prefers none.

Good to know

  • Contains essential oils: lemon peel, lavender, orange peel, geranium, ylang-ylang and eucalyptus. The Supple Preparation Unscented Toner has the same base without them.
  • The bottle and description mention Phyto-Oligo, and the description wheat amino acids; neither appears under those names on the ingredient list.
  • Cruelty-free, per Klairs.
