Product details

A tub of Radiance Cleansing Balm on stone beside a rice stalk and oats

Melt + cleanse

A sherbet-soft balm that melts off every trace of makeup and leaves skin hydrated, not stripped.

The first step of a Korean double cleanse. It dissolves makeup, sunscreen and excess oil, then rinses away milky-clean while rice water and fermented grains keep skin soft and radiant.

What’s inside

The ingredients doing the work

  • Rice, three ways

Rice bran oil helps dissolve makeup, and mineral-rich rice water brightens and keeps skin hydrated through the cleanse.

    No. 8, 10, 17 of 20 on the list

  • Fermented grains

Fermented soybean and Job’s tears, a Korean grain, to help skin feel smooth and elastic after washing.

No. 14, 16 of 20 on the list

  • Sea buckthorn oil

A nourishing berry oil, high on the list, that lifts away grime while it softens.

No. 7 of 20 on the list

  • Oat

The classic comforter for skin that feels tight or sensitive after cleansing.

No. 18 of 20 on the list

How to use

Step one of your double cleanse

  1. 1

    Scoop

With dry hands, take a spatula’s worth onto your fingertips.

  2. 2

    Melt

Massage over a dry face in small circles until makeup dissolves into the oil.

  3. 3

    Emulsify

Add a little water and keep massaging. It turns milky as it lifts away.

  4. 4

    Rinse + cleanse

Rinse with lukewarm water, then follow with a gentle foam or gel cleanser.

Clean, soft, never tight

Everything comes off in one step, and skin is left hydrated and radiant for the rest of your routine.

Good to know

  • Works best on dry skin with dry hands. Water too early makes it slip off before it melts makeup.
  • Use the spatula, not wet fingers, to keep the tub clean.
  • Beauty of Joseon says it melts even waterproof makeup and sunscreen.
  • 100 mL tub.
