What’s inside

The ingredients doing the work

  • Centella asiatica

The plant Korean skincare reaches for when skin is red or reactive. Here it makes up 15% of the essence, more than anything but water.

No. 2 of 28 on the list

  • Hyaluronic acid, three ways

Three forms of different molecular sizes. The larger ones hold water at the surface, the hydrolyzed one is small enough to work into the top layers.

    No. 26, 27, 28 of 28 on the list

  • Niacinamide

Vitamin B3, fifth on the list. Supports the skin barrier and evens out tone over regular use.

No. 5 of 28 on the list

  • Panthenol + adenosine

Panthenol (pro-vitamin B5) softens and comforts. Adenosine is the smoothing ingredient found in many Korean anti-wrinkle formulas.

No. 14, 18 of 28 on the list

Supporting botanicals

  • Mugwort
  • Goji berry
  • Purslane
  • Ginseng
  • Green tea
  • Roman chamomile

How to use

Four steps, twenty minutes

  1. 1

    Prep

Cleanse, then tone. Skin that’s slightly damp takes the essence in best.

  2. 2

    Unfold

Open the sheet and line up the eye and mouth holes, then smooth it out from the centre.

  3. 3

    Relax

Leave it on for 15–20 minutes. Take it off before it starts to dry.

  4. 4

    Pat in

Press the leftover essence into face and neck, then seal with your moisturizer.

Centella leaves floating on clear, rippling water

Made for every skin type

Beauty of Joseon makes it for all skin types. Keep a few for the evenings when skin feels tight, warm or irritated: after a long flight, a day outdoors or a breakout.

Good to know

  • Contains Roman chamomile flower oil, an essential oil. If essential oils bother your skin, patch test first.
  • No denatured alcohol on the list.
  • The sheet is ultra-thin, tightly knit Tencel, so it sits close to the skin.
  • Sold as a single sheet or a pack of 10.
